CHELSEA

Boga’s strong performances during the African Cup of Nations qualifiers with Cote D’ivoire earned him a new three-year contract with his parent club Chelsea, followed by him being given his debut on the starting eleven in the Premier League club’s opener of the 2017/2018 season against Burnley.

Stade Rennais

After impressing in Chelsea’s youth set-up, Boga joined Rennes on 31st August to gain first-team experience. He made his debut on the 18th of September in a 1-1 draw against Lile, then went on to score his first professional goal in a 2-2 game against Stade de Reims. Boga made 27 appearances for Rennes during this loan spell.

Granada

After a successful first season in the Rennes first team on loan. Boga joined La Liga side Granada on a season-long loan for the 2016/2017 season. He made his Granada debut on the 20th August in a 1-1 draw against Villareal where he terrorised his opposing defenders for 90 minutes. He then followed up his electric debut by scoring his first goal for Granada just one week later against Las Palmas. Boga continued to show the Spanish league that he meant business by scoring the equalizing goal against the mighty Barcelona on the 2nd April. Boga made 26 appearances for Granada in what was seen as his breakthrough season due to what was to follow after.

Birmingham Football Club

With both Chelsea and Boga keen to maintain his development, Boga joined Birmingham City on loan for the 2017/2018 season. After making his debut against Norwich, Boga went on to score his first goal for Birmingham City in a 1-1 draw away to Sheffield united showing once again that he relishes big games and winning him Goal of the season for the Midlands club. With Birmingham City in a relegation battle, Boga stepped up to the challenge by netting yet again another big goal in a 3-1 win against Sunderland. Boga ended the season-long loan for Birmingham City having made 34 appearances for Birmingham City.

U.S. Sassuolo

On the 21st July 2018, Boga decided it was time for him to fly the nest and joined Serie A side Sassuolo on a permanent transfer where he took the league by storm and continued to show he is a big game player as he scored against the mighty Juventus as well as a 30-yard screamer against Torino to win the hearts of the Sassuolo faithful.
